Ray co-founded Market Builders as a firm focused on providing turnkey Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions in 1988. In 1990, the firm began to focus on the financial services industry and specifically on institutional asset managers. Ray has overseen the sale and implementation of CRM solutions at over one hundred institutional asset management (IAM) firms in the US; including one-third of the top one hundred, and four of the top ten. Market Builders clients include AIG, Atlanta Capital, BlackRock, Citigroup, Fidelity, ING, JP Morgan, Legg Mason, Putnam, RW Baird, T. Rowe Price, Turner Investments, Victory Capital, Wasatch Advisors, William Blair and Wells Fargo.

Prior to founding Market Builders, Ray was a sales executive in the information systems business aimed at small businesses and large multinational corporations. Ray managed the IBM mid-range systems sales team that led the Northeastern U.S. in new business sales for two consecutive years. He also developed and implemented the first industry marketing sales programs for IBM mid-range systems. As Manager of OEM Operations and National Sales Manager for the IBM’s National Distribution Division, Ray provided the marketing and sales management support for all IBM manufacturing divisions selling to the OEM market.  Ray also served as Regional Sales Manager for a Mainframe application and database software vendor focused on Fortune 1000 corporations.

Ray has a B.A in Mathematics from Clark University.


Paul joined Market Builders in March 1990 and as Principal has focused on the development and implementation of CRM systems at over 150 companies. He has extensive experience in the institutional asset management industry having been directly responsible for over one hundred custom turnkey implementations. Clients include: Aetna, AIG, AllianceBernstein, Citigroup, Fidelity, JP Morgan, Mellon, Lincoln Financial, MetLife, State Street, T. Rowe Price, UBS, United Parcel Service and Wells Fargo.

Paul brings over 35 years experience in systems that support all phases of Sales, Marketing and Clients Service in companies that range in size from venture-backed start-ups to AT&T and UPS. Prior to joining Market Builders, Paul was co-founder of Adelie Corporation in 1982 – a leading provider of semi-custom CRM solutions for Fortune 100 companies. At Adelie, Paul developed the first fully integrated Marketing & Sales system that won industry awards for innovative implementations at Westinghouse and Xerox that utilized mainframe, mini and IBM’s first personal computers. When Adelie was acquired by AT&T in 1988, Paul stayed on as Senior Vice President responsible for all client relationships.

Paul has a Bachelor of Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from Boston College.
